Click on the link, fill it out and submit the form if you want to play this year.

We are happy to open registration for the 2021-2022 season.  The attached form outlines the registration information required. In addition to this form, please note the following items:

We are hopeful for a complete season with no shutdowns due to COVID 19 or any other pandemic.  While we are hopeful for this, we cannot guarantee a full season given the global, federal, provincial and municipal mandates/laws/regulations that maybe placed upon recreational sports including mandatory vaccinations to participate.

VOLUNTARY DISCLOSURE OF COVID 19 VACCINATION STATUS.  This is an optional status declaration at this time.  Given that the Town of Richmond Hill may have certain requirements around vaccination status to utilize their facilities and may require proof to participate. By voluntarily disclosing this information, it makes it easier to understand the impact of the league should this become a requirement which is a possibility.

Our league will not mandating any actions including mask wearing, COVID rapid testing or mandatory vaccination. The league leadership is focused on running a hockey league for it's members, and not governing a Country, Province or Town. However, it is possible that a condition of the permit is required mask wearing to enter the Town of Richmond Hill facilities, required testing for COVID 19 or any other virus or required vaccination of all participants by the Town of Richmond Hill, then the league will align with those conditions in order to provide the majority of the membership an opportunity to play hockey and avoid cancellation of the permits.

In the event of reduced teams, and membership, the Executive will work with the Town of Richmond Hill to keep the necessary ice times to skate twice each week.

We are all excited to get back on the ice together as a community.  This year is shaping up to be really exciting as we all return to the ice. With this excitement comes some uncertainty.  We look forward to providing our members with updates on the status changes that occur, while being transparent with the challenges that face our members as we return to the ice.

Looking forward to an excellent season.

The Executive.

News: 2020-2021 Season

ORMRHL Members,

I hope everyone is doing well and having a good summer. First off, we wanted to thank everyone for their continued support as we try to get back on to the ice for our 39th season. As you can imagine, Oaks hockey might be a bit different this year and we are working closely with the Town of Richmond Hill to confirm what that looks like. We have completed the return to play protocol, and submitted it to the town for approval.

Providing we get the permits, we will inform the membership of the league's hockey offering this year. Hopefully, we get the same ice at Bond Lake but, we're unsure of that at this time.

If our permit remains the same, We will run two mini leagues containing 4 team in each with 10 players per team. Leagues will not inter-mix. There will be a small list of 6 shared spares per league to off set absences. Spaces will be limited due to the government and town imposed league maximum of 50 players, so spaces will fill up quickly!

Our hope is in the next few weeks we will be able to confirm the requirements and we will inform everyone of costs and how the league will run.

We remain committed to providing the best hockey experience in the GTA.......even during a pandemic! Jerseys for next season are also in the mix and we are currently looking for sponsors. For those interested in sponsoring our league, please email myself or Brian Jagger for details.

Thanks,

The Executive.
